Description
Six lessons, 42 minutes, taught by Liz Kohler Brown — a surface pattern designer who has sold over three thousand calendars and launches a new set every six months.
The project is one calendar page, not twelve. That is deliberate: a calendar starts as a theme you test with a single illustration before committing a year of work to it. You pick a theme and check that it is sellable, choose a selling platform, plan the layout, draw the page, and place it on a calendar template ready to list.
Liz is direct about why calendars are worth it: they carry built-in urgency because they are dated, and the margins beat almost anything else in print-on-demand. She walks through her own calendars — the ones that sold and the ones that did not — and through work by students who took the class before.
You will need an iPad, a stylus and Procreate.
